This is a very nice Imperial German reserve forces pickelhaube helmet, most likely issued in the Kingdom of Bavaria. The construction is similar to the Bavarian models, though it is a bit simplified. It has a cross shaped top fitting with a top vent, typical of Bavarian pickelhaube, however it is not designed to take any type of spike or other device.
