In addition to being trained artistically as a carver, Justin Rivard is a trained jeweler. He first starting working in the Northwest Coast style under First Nations artist Ray Dumont on Vancouver Island, and he started creating jewellery in 1986. He is dedicated to applying his skills to new and unconventional forms, while using the same media of gold, silver, and semi precious stones. For
